ABOUT ME
ABOUT ME
I am a postpartum doula, artist, stay-at-home mother of three: Anakin (10), Avery (7), and Sophie (5), and former biomedical engineer. As a postpartum doula, my mission is to use gentle guidance and loving care to help new mothers, birth parents, fathers, birth partners, and babies thrive during the fourth trimester. This transformative postpartum period is a period during which all members of the new family need and deserve nurturing and support.

EXPERIENCE
I went to school and worked as an engineer from 1994-2009. From 2009 to present I have worked as a stay-at home mother. The transition from work to motherhood was a difficult one. The challenges I worked through are what inspire me to serve other women and birth parents as a postpartum doula! Since 2012 I have worked with children and families to create personalized pieces of art, and since 2016 I have painted portraits of women, children, and families. I have also helped a client paint and collage her belly cast, and have created a quilt from a baby girl's memorable baby clothing. I enjoy working with families to mark important time periods using materials and media that can help them best express and celebrate what is important to them.
